Quivira//Wine

City of Gold // In researching various wine companies I came upon Quivira. The story behind the name is what lead me to want to pick this for my project. Quivira is one of the lost city’s of gold, so I wanted the labels to have an elegant, classic, old world feel. I also wanted to tie in the idea of exploration—in search of this lost city by placing a compass on the tops of the wine bottles.

Preps//Food

Spicing things up // Preps is a gourmet food store for people who enjoy cooking and trying new recipes. This store focuses on creating customized food orders. The concept behind this project is “made for you”, so I designed the labels to resemble diner tickets, to give the feel that it is your personal order.

Traits//Paint Cans

Adding Color // In researching the Benjamin Moore company I found that in the many products that they have each had a different brand logo design. I redesigned the logo to have a cleaner more modern feel. I took that same idea in designing the label. There are many different options when choosing paint, so I wanted a label that was clear and easy to read.

Maker's Mark//Whisky

Make Your Mark // The objective of this project was to create an evolutionary and revolutionary design out of an existing spirit. For the evolutionary design I wanted to create more of an integration with the type and objects. In the revolutionary design I wanted the label to become the “mark” of the product. From my initial impression on the label I felt that there was a conflict between the name and the SIV brand. With this solution I removed the SIV brand and created the idea of a label and a mark as one.
